About the BID
Delivering change together
Sheffield BID is a member organisation created by ballot in 2015 as a Business Improvement District (BID). We are here for a five-year term until 31 July 2020. The BID is a five-year project that officially launched in April 2015 following the successful ballot. The BID Company became fully operational in October 2015.
The BID currently includes 500+ properties that pay the BID levy and are therefore our members.

How the BID works
What the BID does
Sheffield BID delivers projects that add value to the existing offer across all business sectors, supporting economic growth for a diverse range of sectors across retail, corporate, leisure and culture, education and public services. The BID’s investment focuses on achieving higher visitor numbers and a vibrant city centre; easier access and navigation; a safer day-time and night-time economy; a cleaner environment; and a voice for the 500+ businesses that pay into the BID.
Note: the BID cannot be used to fund services that Sheffield City Council already operates.
